Bring along fabric scraps from favourite dresses, a drawing by your child, a signature from a loved one, buttons, trimmings and more. In this class Bernie will support you in planning and creating a unique cushion front full of memories. The cushion in the picture has a stitched tracing of her grand daughters name and uses a picture drawn by her granddaughter as the inspiration for the appliqué girl.
This is a great opportunity to create a family heirloom.
Beginners Sewing Class
Saturday July 13, 10.30am – 4.30pm
In this class you will make an ‘A’ line Skirt & learn how to use a pattern and to make simple adjustments to ensure a good fit. You will then seam, insert a zip and hem your skirt.
You will need to bring fabric (a light cotton) and co-ordinating concealed (invisible) zip and thread. Advice on these is given before the class.
This skirt was made by an absolute beginner in our last class…
